Nintendo's next big thing is here

The Nintendo Switch is now on sale. Nintendo’s next big game console hit store shelves on Friday. The $299.99 system is Nintendo’s answer to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but there’s a twist: Those other systems need to be plugged into a screen, but the Switch can be played at home or on the go. USA TODAY’s Brett Molina took the console for a spin and sees plenty of “promise” in Nintendo’s latest hardware, though time will tell if it lives up to the hype.

NFL combine kicks into high gear


With the NFL draft less than two months away, the annual scouting combine in Indianapolis ushers in off-season story lines rife with drama and hype. On Friday, top prospects will begin on-field workouts to prove their athleticism to all 32 teams. LSU running back and potential top-ten pick Leonard Fournette is likely to be the most closely monitored player, as he's expected to run a speedy 40-yard dash despite measuring in at a massive 240 pounds. Projected No. 1 pick Myles Garrett will work out on Sunday, but the event is sure to produce several sleeper prospects who boost their stock with strong performances.

Malaysia to deport North Korean arrested in Kim Jong Nam's death


Malaysia is set to release and deport a North Korean man arrested in connection with the death of Kim Jong Un’s half-brother Friday, due to a lack of evidence. Ri Jong Chol was arrested four days after Kim John Nam died after an apparent poisoning at the Kuala Lumpur airport last month. Diplomatic tensions have escalated between the two countries following the bizarre incident, and Malaysia has announced it will scrap visa-free travel for citizens of the reclusive state
